[11:1]  1 tn Or “spirit.” See note on “wind” in 2:2.

[11:1]  2 sn The phrase officials of the people occurs in Neh 11:1; 1 Chr 21:2; 2 Chr 24:23.

[26:16]  3 tn Heb “descend from.”

[26:16]  4 tn Heb “and they will be astonished over you.”

[33:31]  5 tn Heb “as people come.” Apparently this is an idiom indicating that they come in crowds. See D. I. Block, Ezekiel (NICOT), 2:264.

[33:31]  6 tn The word “as” is supplied in the translation.

[33:31]  7 tn Heb “do.”

[33:31]  8 tn Heb “They do lust with their mouths.”

[33:31]  9 tn Heb “goes after.”

[33:31]  10 tn The present translation understands the term often used for “unjust gain” in a wider sense, following M. Greenberg, who also notes that the LXX uses a term which can describe either sexual or ritual pollution. See M. Greenberg, Ezekiel (AB), 2:687.

[38:16]  11 tn Heb “come up.”

[38:16]  12 tn Or “reveal my holiness.”

[39:28]  13 tn Heb “there,” referring to the foreign nations to which they were exiled. The translation makes the referent clear.

[41:15]  14 tn Heb “one hundred cubits” (i.e., 52.5 meters).

[41:15]  15 tc Some Hebrew mss read “and its outer court.”

[47:1]  16 tn The word הִנֵּה (hinneh, traditionally “behold”) indicates becoming aware of something and has been translated here as a verb.
